Munich river surfing
A popular river surfing spot is “Eisbach” near the museum Haus der Kunst. Eisbach is an small canal that runs through the English Garden, the largest park in Munich.
The surfing spot is at Prinzregentenstrasse next to the Himmelreich Bridge. We took the underground to station Lehel (U4). To Marienplatz is less than 2 km walking.
When we visited the surfing spot in August 2010, it was raining that morning and 16 degrees. Besides three of us there was one other spectator and three surfers. The surfing itself is fun to see and could be worth a visit. We were just unlucky with the weather.
